ROSE FLOAT LAB
This is the place where, if you can dream it, we can build it.
The Pomona Lab (building 64) serves as the main garage for our float in the months that lead into the New Years Day parade. The lab is outfitted to help the students construct and design the float, holding a multitude of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery to carry out a daunting task. You should also expect to see a group of dedicated student volunteers rocking out to music and working hard to complete their goals for the day.
What to Bring
Depending on your stay with us at our Lab, we recommend bringing all of the following:
A filled reusable water bottle
Closed toe shoes(work boots recommended, but not required)
Long sleeve shirt and long pants you don’t mind getting dirty
A sweater/jacket for the cooler seasons.
Safety
The tools and equipment in and around our lab present a potential danger to all volunteers. This is why it is important to pay close attention to our safety guidelines.
Keep in Mind
If this is your first time, you will need to sign a liability form available when you arrive to volunteer. A parent or legal guardian will need to sign the liability form if you are under 18 years old.
LOCATION
If this is your first time visiting our lab, we understand that directions may be hard to follow as our campus may be unfamiliar to you. We encourage you to use Google Maps to locate our facility and follow the directions given to you, as this seems to be the best.
